Oh yeah! Epicman is epic... and manly. 
This piece took me a while to make. Started making some sparta look a like and came up with this... paladin... warrior.. phalange.. royal quard.. thing or whatever. Done with photoshop CS4 and Wacom Intuos 4. Hope you like it.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactEpicman really is epic! I like the reflection on the shoulder piece that acts as a nice focal point, and the overall composition and coloring of this piece are good. The purple lighting bolt on the background is a bit too far in the cheesy department, but it does balance out the picture.
There's good detailing on the sword and the shield, but they seem a tad small for an epic guy like this. The wrist on the background also looks a bit flimsy, even though the details there are great too. Overall, you could focus more on getting the shapes right before diving into detailing, as tempting as it is. The helmet, on the other hand, is pure epicness in every department.
